About DsRP (DarkStar Retro Project)
For more information about DarkStar BBS, see >this< page.
As stated in our Purpose:
"To preserve and restore, by telnet, the DarkStar BBS experience of the later 1980’s - An online museum hopefully featuring the ultra-rare DarkStar’88 version of the Commodore 64 BBS software."
A tall order to be sure. The rarity of DarkStar’88 isn’t the only issue I’m facing.
It’s been about 15 years since I have touched a Commodore 64. Memory of its workings have faded into obscurity and I find myself Googling for some of the most basic commands. But hey, that’s all part of the fun!
Join me in following this blog as I try valiantly to climb out of the sandbox and try to regain my former mastery of DarkStar and the Commodore 64.
I’m hoping I will not be alone in this project. I have setup Forums for anyone wishing to contribute to this effort. (Why should I have all the fun? lol)
